Tips for Using NotebookLM
- You can upload up to 50 files. NotebookLM can use all provided sources simultaneously to answer your questions and provide information.
- Use the "Discover" feature (next to "Add" in the Sources section) by providing a text prompt to find relevant new sources for your project.
- The "Notes" section allows you to add your own manual notes or have NotebookLM generate useful notes automatically.
- Select a note to convert it into a source. This allows you to create and refine multiple drafts (either manually or AI-assisted) before adding them to your project's sources.
- Generate audio overviews: AI-created conversations between two hosts summarizing your source material.
- Audio overviews feature an interactive mode (currently in beta) that lets you engage with the conversation, creating an audio version of your interaction.
- Create mind maps based on your prompts for a visual overview of your sources.
- NotebookLM suggests follow-up questions based on your chat history to help spark new ideas.
- Save specific chat interactions or responses directly to your notes.
